In April it kept snowing, and snowing, and snowing some more. It was getting pretty tedious to say the least. Spring Break came and we hadn't planned on doing anything except camping for a couple days at the end of the week. Well the first day of Spring Break it was still snowing and cold, and I was sick of it. That morning I turned to Doug and said, "That's it! We're going to St. George to see the sun." So within an hour we were packed and in the car heading south. (By the way, this was probably the most spontaneous thing I've ever done with the family. I almost always plan things way in advance.)
It was soooo nice to see the sun and enjoy the warm weather. After getting a hotel, the 1st thing the kids wanted to do is swim in the pool. The most we did the day we got there was swim, swim and swim some more. The next day we decided to go see the Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm. We thought it would be cool to see some dinosaur stuff. While we were getting ready to go inside we noticed a hot air balloon landing pretty close to the museum. The kids were definitely excited to see that.
The museum was pretty cool, but definitely meant for kids a little bit older than mine. Especially Jason, because he wanted to climb on just about everything. We decided it would be a good idea to go to a place where climbing on something was totally appropriate so we went to this fun center where they could climb and have fun and play some miniature golf too.
The last day in St. George we went geocaching and played in a park and tried to soak up all the warmth and sun we could before we trekked back up to frigid Spanish Fork.
Next up ... our last stop near Sand Hollow Reservoir ...
