Every year the Kindergarten classes at Rees Elementary participate in an egg drop. There's no real rules, you just have to package a hard-boiled egg so that when it's dropped off the roof of the school it won't break. This was a project that Doug was excited to work with Kaitlyn on. After much thought, the two of them came up with filling a tupper-ware container with marshmallow Peeps (good thing it was around Easter time) and cotton balls.
Here she is decorating the container. You can definitely see Doug's influence in the art work on the container. Go figure! I was able to go and watch the egg drop with Jason. All the kids were jumping up and down and just couldn't wait for their eggs to be dropped off the roof.
Jason was less interested in the containers being thrown off the roof and more interested in the playground. Thanks to good planning Kaitlyn's egg didn't crack at all!
Jason tossed around the container a few more times for good measure. Even with all the abuse that Jason gave it, the egg still didn't crack! Great job Kaitlyn and Doug!!
