Right before school got out for winter break, we had a couple of days in a row that it kept snowing and snowing. It was a good thing that Doug had already been out for winter break so he could shovel the driveway. He had a little help from Jason though. This was the 1st day it was really snowing.

Kaitlyn got home from school, had lunch, then put her snow clothes on right away. She couldn't wait to build her first snowman of the year. She wanted to build more than one so she knocked this one down and tried building another one. She did pretty good, but I didn't get a picture of that one. All the while the snow kept coming down. The next morning we got up to get Kaitlyn ready for school and discovered this ...

Doug started shoveling the driveway so we could get the car out to take Kaitlyn to school. While he was shoveling I discovered that they canceled school for the day. After breakfast everyone got their snow clothes on to go enjoy the snow day and help dig out.

Here's Kaitlyn and her friend Sydney building a snow hill in the front yard. And her she is, Queen of the Snow Mountain ...

Jason is in the background trying to help Daddy dig out of over a foot of snow.

We spent hours playing in the snow. It was a lot of fun to spend time with the family and enjoy the winter weather.
