Pumpkin Carving
Following tradition, we went to my parents house the Monday before Halloween to have our pumpkin carving FHE. This was Jason's 1st year to try and clean the pumpkin out. He liked using the scoop, but not touching the gooey insides.
Kaitlyn was pretty much the same way. She wanted to carve, but not clean it out. Not a big surprise. This year she wanted a cat Jack-o-lantern. So I did my best to help her out, and it turned out pretty good. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with the standards of a 5 year old, but I pulled it off. Phew!
As in years past, Aaron, Meghan, Christian and Mikelle were able to come join in on the fun. It worked out good so that when the kids lost interest in carving, they were able to play with each other and keep each other busy.
Here's the end results. Doug's is the alien, Kaitlyn's is the cat, Jason's pumpkin (which my dad carved for him) is the little droopy-eyed one, and mine is the big eye, little eye one on the bottom right.
Here they are lit up, except Jason's.
Super Halloween fun!!!
