For family night this past week we went shopping for Kaitlyn's first school backpack. All the backpacks we tried on were huge. We finally found a backpack that was a little smaller and Kaitlyn decided she wanted the one with Dora and Boots. The note from the school said she needed a backpack that could fit a full size sheet of paper in it. So while at the store, Doug put a yellow notebook in it to make sure it was big enough, of course he showed it to Kaitlyn. Then he took it out and put it back on the shelf. After we got home Kaitlyn opened her backpack and asked what happened to her yellow notebook. The next day, Doug made sure to pick a yellow notebook for her backpack. Above you can see her posing with her new backpack.

So funny she's posing here too! I'm surprised you actually found a smaller backpack! Yeah, I didn't find one her size, just a good deal last year. It works...until she wears it! he he

She's too young for school. Crazy how time flies.
